Obituary
Rozella F. Lingle, age 89, of Blackjack/Birdsong in rural St. Clair, County, MO, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019. She was born on December 29, 1929, to Dan and Viola Barber in Carmen, OK.

On June 1, 1947, Rozella married George Alvin Lingle near Hopeton, OK. To this union five children were born.

Rozella and Alvin lived in Texas until the mid-1950s and Lamar, CO, before moving to the El Dorado Springs/Stockton, MO, area on September 12, 1963. This area became home because they enjoyed the company of the Blackjack Church of God (Holiness).

Rozella trained as a nurse as a young woman. Later she cleaned houses for other people. She was a good cook and loved to read and work word puzzles. She was a giving person who loved to help people with cooking, cleaning, and running errands.

Preceding Rozella in death were her parents; husband, Alvin, in 2013; and one son, Dale, in 1987; son-in-law, Denny Witt; and five siblings.

Survivors include four children: Leonard Lingle of Overland Park, KS; Dianna Witt, George Lingle, and Virgil Lingle of Stockton, MO; three grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Luella and Jimmie Lee, of Olathe, KS, and Lily May and Roger Brundridge, of Alba, OK; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Rozella Lingle were held on Friday, December 27, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Dodson officiating. Burial followed in Brush Creek Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were: David Cox, Jerry Cox, Eldon Orme, Nolan Davis, Tysen Sayler, and Travis Bland.
