Betty Lou (Beaty) Morlan, age 74, of El Dorado Springs, MO, passed away at her home on Monday morning, October 28,2019. Betty was born April 15, 1945, in El Dorado Springs, the daughter of Jewell William (Joe) Beaty and Goldie Fern (Allen) Beaty. Betty attended El Dorado Springs School District and as a young woman she became a licensed Beautician.
Betty married Kenneth Morlan on March 11, 1961. To their union, two children were born. Betty and Kenneth lived across the Midwest while Kenneth built waste water treatment facilities, finally settling down near family in rural El Dorado Springs.
Preceding Betty in death were her parents, brother Billy Beaty, and grandson Clancey Wade Silvers.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Morlan; two children: Alan Morlan of Houston, TX, and Amanda (Morlan) Silvers of El Dorado Springs, MO; granddaughter, Claire Silvers, great-grandson, Clancy Wade Scotten; two brothers: Joe Lee and Alice Beaty, and Bob and Linda Beaty; two sisters: Judy and James Brackenridge, and Jerry and Randy Bobbett; and numerous extended family members.
Graveside services for Betty Morlan will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery with Mark Mitchell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
