Douglas DeWayne Dozler, was born in Branson, MO, on November 30, 1965, to Cletus C. Dozler and Janice L. (Heitz) Preston. He passed away on September 17, 2019, at Cedar County Memorial Hospital.
Doug grew up in El Dorado Springs, MO, and obtained a General Education Diploma in 1985. Doug enlisted in the Missouri National Guard in 1985 and was schooled in Artillery at Ft. Sill, OK. He had a passion for driving tractor-trailers and chose to be an over-the-road truck driver being employed at Pierce Ag Transport at the time of his death.
He married Karen Lumley May 15, 1993, and to this union a son, Skyler DeWayne, was born. Doug was friendly and outgoing by nature. He made friends easily where ever he went and was always willing to help others, even when it may have caused him hardship.
Doug is survived by his son, Skyler, of El Dorado Springs; parents, Cletus Dozler and Janice Preston of El Dorado Springs; his brother, Michael Dozler of El Dorado Springs; his niece, Kamaran (Mack) Phillips of Leeton; his nephew, Brennan Dozler of El Dorado Springs; and great nieces Brennali, Rylynn, Teegan, and Kambri.
He will be missed by his family and a host of friends.
