Alice Nadine (Lines) Rosbrugh, age 83, of El Dorado Springs, MO, passed away at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO, October 10, 2018. Nadine was born in Gravette, AR, on August 26, 1935, the daughter of William Pink Lines and Vada (Perkins) Lines.
Nadine attended her first two and one-half years of school at the Pape, MO, one-room school. She continued her remaining schooling through high school graduation at El Dorado Springs. After her graduation, she worked at the shoe factory during the summer months before getting married to Elvin Rosbrugh in her parentís home, August 22, 1953. She and her husband made their home east of Rockville in St. Clair County on a farm that Elvinís parents gave them for a wedding present.
Nadine was a busy homemaker raising her three children on the farm while keeping a large garden and tending to various chores. She also served on election boards for several years. After the family was raised, she worked as a learning center monitor for several years at Lowry City Christian School. Nadine and Elvin encouraged all three of their children to pursue college education. All three received college degrees before Nadine and Elvin retired to live in El Dorado Springs, July 4, 2000.
Nadine was born again early in life and took an active part in church and Sunday school. She has served as song leader, pianist, and organist, as well as teaching Sunday school classes at the Lowry City Church of God (Holiness).
Preceding Nadine in death were her parents, her sister Mary Lu Englund, and brother-in-law Lester Englund.
She is survived by her husband, Elvin of El Dorado Springs; her children: Sherrel Dodson and husband Joe of Black Jack, Harold Rosbrugh and wife Betty of Rockville, and Cynthia Miller and husband Sam of Mansfield, MO; seven grandchildren with their spouses; twenty great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Nadine Rosbrugh were held on Monday, October 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowry City Church of God (Holiness) with Rev. Noel Scott and Rev. Steve Elsey officiating.
Pallbearers were grandsons: Jason Dodson, Sonny Rosbrugh, Justin Dodson, Justin Schaper, Nathan Rosbrugh, Jonathan Dodson, and Jon Kreutzweiser. Honorary pallbearers were James Coleman and Silas McGehee. Interment followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
