Rose Arlene (Ellerman) Yockey, age 87, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away at her home Thursday morning, November 16, 2017. Rose was born July 24, 1930, to Monford Ray and Florence (Smith) Ellerman. She had two sisters, Violet and Leota. They all enjoyed many happy times together.
Rose married Melvin R.C. Yockey on October 30, 1949. They were married fifty-seven years before R.C.ís passing in 2006. To their union a daughter, Valerie, was born.
Rose was a very hard worker and a wonderful Christian woman. She worked at Dunbrooke Shirt factory for sixteen years. R.C. and Rose owned and operated a used car business, R & R Motors, for thirty years, and enjoyed working in the car business together.
Preceding Rose in death were her husband, R.C.; her parents; one son-in-law, Douglas Perrigo; and sisters, Violet Tanner and Leota Keeton.
Survivors include one daughter, Valerie, of the home, many nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A graveside service for Rose Yockey was held Monday, November 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Love Cemetery with Rev. Brent Bland officiating under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
