Norma Jean Alumbaugh, age 85, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Cedar County Memorial Hospital. She was born November 14, 1931, to William and Elva Parker in Lexington, Missouri.
Norma Jean worked as an elevator operator at the Federal Reserve Bank Building in Kansas City, MO, and as a caterer in El Dorado Springs.
Preceding Norma Jean in death were her parents; two husbands, Melvin R. Justice and Don Alumbaugh; and twin granddaughters.
She is survived by children: Patsy Kinnamon of Belton, MO, Linda and Glenn Hammond of Hannibal, MO, Dale and Kelly Birdsong of Pisgah, MO, Charles and Connie Alumbaugh of Las Vegas, NV, Donald and Sue Alumbaugh of Pleasant Hill, MO, Bob and Mary Alumbaugh of Camdenton, MO, Beverly Banks of Raytown, MO, and Larry Alumbaugh of Kansas City, MO; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Norma Jean Alumbaugh were held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Marsh officiating. Interment followed at the Fort Scott National Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Darin Smith, Justin Vaughn, Brett Bearden, Austin Vaughn, and A.J. Vaughn.
