Clarence Arthur Taylor, age 82, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016. Clarence was born March 3, 1934, in Cedar County, Missouri, to Lester M. and Edyth L. (Harvey) Taylor.
Clarence was married to Dixie Christiason until her passing. Four children were born to this union. He married Norma Jean (Decker) Yarnell on August 18, 1972. To this union Norma brought four daughters from her previous marriage.
The times he enjoyed most in lifer were family, hunting, fishing, camping, woodwork, automotive repair, and innovative craftwork. He loved helping others, teaching, and sharing his skills and knowledge. His ornery sense of humor kept everyone on his or her toes.
Preceding Clarence in death were his parents; an infant daughter, Gloria; a brother, George; a sister Lavelle; a son, Donald Joe Taylor; and two grandsons, Mark Shannon Miller and Nathan Perry Allison.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean (Decker) Taylor; two brothers, Francis Taylor and wife, Nancy, of Leesville, LA and Orville Taylor and wife, Norma L., of Tiffin, MO; his six daughters: Betty (Taylor) Gooden and husband, Sam, of Walker, MO, Pamela (Yarnell) Forest of El Dorado Springs, MO, Sandi (Yarnell) Bouchard of San Antonio, TX, Cheri (Yarnell) Allison and husband, Greg, of El Dorado Springs, MO, Marilyn (Taylor) Mitts and husband, James, of Walker, MO, and Terri (Yarnell) Carver and husband, Shane, of Monte Vista, CO; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
A funeral service for Clarence Taylor was held on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at the El Dorado Springs Church of Christ under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Disposition was by inurnment.
