Sandria May (Rodgers) Knapp, age 71, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away at her home Monday evening, January 18, 2016. Sandria was born October 5, 1942, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Vern O’Neil Rodgers and Marie Alva (Rodenbaugh) Rodgers.
Sandria enjoyed watching old-time television shows and spending time with her sisters. She also loved spending time and playing around with her great-nieces and nephews. She always got a lot of enjoyment out of them.
Sandria worked most of her life as a CNA, and she loved taking care of others.
The last few years of her life, Sandria enjoyed spending time with her oldest daughter. She loved the talks they had during this time. She will be greatly missed.
Preceding Sandria in death were her parents; husband, Steve Knapp; three brothers: Clarence Rodgers, Joseph Rodgers, and Timothy Rodgers; one brother-in-law, Larry Gene Messick; and one grandson.
Survivors include her four children: David George of St. Joseph, MO, Barbara May (George) Workman of the home, Sandy Ray Franks of Nevada, MO, and Dickey Joe Rodgers; three sisters: Agratha Daniels of El Dorado Springs, MO, Charlotte Messick of El Dorado Springs, MO, and Sharon Kicenski and husband, Kenneth of El Dorado Springs, MO; one brother, Danny Rodgers of Schell City, MO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held for Sandria Knapp at a later date. Final disposition was by cremation under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
