Beulah Maxine (Vickers) Pennock, age 94, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, the daughter of Charles & Iva Vickers, passed away Thursday evening, November 5, 2015. She was born on October 28, 1921.

Over her working career, she simultaneously owned/operated five nursing homes and became known for being the largest individually owned nursing home business in the state of Kansas. She married Robert W. (Bob) Pennock on March 14, 1956, and they spent almost fifty years together. They raised five children: Gary, Jim, Rod, Wayne, and Renee. In 1983, Bob & Beulah retired from the nursing home business. They moved from Medicine Lodge, KS, to Olympia, MO, and began farming and raising cattle. Beulah was a strong woman with a dynamite personality who loved providing for her family. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include four sons: Wayne and Julie Pennock of Nevada, MO; Gary Pennock and Sue Griffitt, of Deepwater, MO; Jim and Karen Pennock of Appleton City, MO; and Rod Pennock of Arizona; one daughter, Renee and Alan Eck, of El Dorado Springs, MO; grandchildren: Emily and David Hamil, Audrey and Josh Smith, Jessica Pennock, Justin Pennock, Andrea and Justin Mays, Kimberly and Phillip Gaines, Kelly and Tara Eck, Sara and Taylor Rainey, Cody and Olivia Eck, J.P. and Kimmy Nielsen, Kristin Pennock and James Smith, Dee Dee Greenwalt, Marla and Scott Wynn, Joyce and Rich Volk, Ryan and Jenny Pennock, Shawn Pennock, Greg Pennock, Evan Pennock, and Eric Pennock; great-grandchildren: Hailey Hamil, Kateyln Hamil, Avery Hamil, Knox Smith, Rylun Mays, Paylan Mays, Brinlan Mays, Braylan Mays, Braden Gaines, Bode Gaines, Ty Gaines, Ryli Gaines, Tasia Weber, Koy Eck, Tinley Eck, Maddox Rainey, Beckett Rainey, Kolt Nielsen, Mason Nielsen, Grant Delgado, Shelby Greenwalt, Jake Greenwalt, Amanda Wingo, Vanessa Ledezma, Jared Ledezma, Marisa Ledezma, Joshua & Melanie Reich, Sydney Reich, and Zach Volk; and great-great grandchildren: Graham Reich, Wyatt Wingo, and Charlotte Wingo.

Other survivors include siblings: Oren and Frieda Martin, Rita Gilplin, Lora Vickers, Donna Woody, Wilda Hall, and Pauline Lowe all from El Dorado Springs, MO. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and six siblings.

Funeral services for Beulah Pennock were held on Monday, November 9, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were: Justin Mays, Kelly Eck, Cody Eck, Taylor Rainey, Justin Pennock, and Phillip Gaines. Honorary pallbearers were: J.P. Nielsen, Chris Vickers, David Hamil, Josh Smith, and Oren Vickers.
