Donald Hugh Reaves, age 85, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 18, 2015. Don was born on November 4, 1929, in Exeter, California, the son of Jesse and Vergie (Jones) Reaves. He attended school in Charity, Missouri.

On December 24, 1948, Don married Dorothy Weeks, and they remained married until her passing on June 3, 2011. To this union four children were born: Mike, Marla, Dorene, and Melvin.

Don worked for the Highway Department from May 1, 1952, until his retirement on September 1, 1986. Don and Dorothy enjoyed traveling for several years. He enjoyed bowling and fishing during his younger years. After retirement he enjoyed repairing and selling lawnmowers in his spare time. He loved all of his children and grandkids and enjoyed having them around.

Preceding Don in death were his wife, Dorothy; his parents; grandson, Shane Lambrecht; great-grandson, Ryder Banister, sisters, Delores Hicks and Beula Ann Gardner; and brother, James Reaves.

Survivors include his four children: Mike Reaves and wife Frances, of Buffalo, MO, Marla Lambrecht of El Dorado Springs, MO, Dorene Banister of Camdenton, MO, and Melvin Reaves of El Dorado Springs, MO; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: John, Herb and Ray; and one sister, Bernice.

Funeral services for Don Reaves will be held Friday, October 23, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home with Bro. Everett Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the El Dorado City Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Logan Shotts, Tyler Shotts, Chet Matzke, Dalton Avery, Matt Oberneufemann, and Will Popejoy. Honorary pallbearers will be: David Shotts, Chase Banister, Matt McDaniel, Jacob Banister, Pierce Oberneufemann, and Liam Popejoy.
