Obituary
Harold H. Leonard, age 97, of rural Schell City/Taberville area, passed away in Cedar County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday morning, October 29, 2014. Harold was born March 19, 1917, at Arizona, Missouri, in Jackson County, the son of Herbert and Anna Lee Leonard.

Harold spent his whole life as a roofer and carpenter, building homes and remodeling, until his retirement to the farm. He was always a hard worker. He enjoyed gardening and his love for fishing continued until failing health.

Preceding Harold in death was his wife of 69 years, Frances (Louise as he called her); his parents, four brothers, three children and many other family members.

Survivors include his remaining seven children: Karen Fast and husband Bill of El Dorado Springs, MO; Claudine Mitchell and husband Jim; Lloyd Leonard and wife Abby; Virginia Wilmow; Fern Ayers; Herbie Leonard; and Marianna Houston; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sarah Oder.

Graveside services for Harold Leonard were held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery with Rev. James Coleman officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
