In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to help the family with expenses and left at the funeral home.
Drake Doyle Register, age 25, of Nevada, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO, after a long illness. Drake was born November 9, 1988, to Joyce (Campbell) Register and Larry Dean Register of El Dorado Springs, MO.
Drake attended Cedar Ridge School for four years and spent much of his life living in Moundville, MO with his mother Joyce, sister Rae-Ann, brother James Dean, niece Whitney and Mom-Pam. He enjoyed being outside with family and friends and loved going fishing, camping, grilling and riding country roads. He loved pretty girls and fast cars. He loved swimming in the family pool, having campfires and eating símores. Drake enjoyed life and loved rocking out to music with his sister, brother and friends. He was the star of the show and if one cousin wasnít holding him another one was. He was his motherís sunshine.
Although plagued with many illnesses because of his cerebral palsy, Drake loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He always had a big grin and an infectious laugh, and he always got the joke!
Drake was loved by many and touched the lives of everyone he met. He loved his cousins, aunts and uncles, and they loved him.
Preceding Drake in death were his grandparents, Earl and Virginia Campbell, and Charles and Ruth Register; uncle Daniel Lee Houts I; and first cousin Daniel Lee Houts II.
Survivors include his mother Joyce; sister Rae-Ann; brother James Dean; sister Bobby Sue; brother Larry Dean, Jr.; father Larry Dean Register; three aunts: Kelly Houts, Kerry Campbell and Doynella Register; niece Whitney; nephew Baby Joe-Joe; and cousins Earl Lee, Toni, Brandon, Travis, Dakota, Jasmine, Gabby, Brittany, Hannah and Ruthann.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial followed in Union Point Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: J.D. Register, Ronald Radford, Dakota Wigge, Skyler Penrod, Rick Register, and Toni Houts.
