Neoma Mae (Rodgers) Blystone, age 95, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away October 2, 2014, at Community Springs Healthcare after a short illness. She was born October 5, 1918, to Earle E. and Eva Rodgers in Kansas City, Missouri. Neoma spent her early years in the Kansas City area. The family moved to the Tiffin, MO area when she was twelve years old.

On February 10, 1934, she was united in marriage to Ernest T. Blystone. Five children were born to this union.

Preceding her in death were her husband Ernest; two sons: Cecil and Larry Blystone; her parents; and six siblings.

Survivors include three daughters: Marty Bishop and husband Bob of El Dorado Springs, MO; Eva Spohn of El Dorado Springs, MO, whose home Neoma shared and was her health care giver the last four years; and Mary Zartman and husband Howard of Florida; her sister Allene Hale of Florida; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Neoma lived most of her life in the El Dorado Springs area except for three years when the family moved to Independence, MO, where Ernest worked on a dairy. They moved from their farm east of El Dorado Springs in 1946 and lived the rest of her life in El Dorado Springs. She was a homemaker, worked outside the home a few years and was well known for her sewing and needle work. After retirement the couple spent twenty winters in southern Texas enjoying the warm climate and fishing.

Neoma made a profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Funeral services Neoma Blystone were held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Dr. Woody Wilson and Rev. Dennis Mix officiated. Interment followed in the Coal Hill Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were: Fred Blystone, Roger Zartman, Dennis Bishop, Joe Burnett, William Blystone, and Dick Mogan.
