Charles Wayne White, age 70, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, went to be with the Lord and his wife, June at 9:42 AM, September 19, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Wayne (as he was most well known) was born January 23, 1944 in Vallejo, California to Oliver Weldon & Clara Jane White.
Wayne went to and graduated from El Dorado Springs High School. He married June
Whitesell on October 12, 1967. They lived their entire married life in El Dorado Springs, Mo.
Wayne joined the Army on June 1, 1968, and served in Vietnam. He worked at Mid-Am for several years before he retired.
Wayne loved to golf and spend time with his family. If he wasn't on the golf course, he was spending time with his great-grandchildren, or attending one of their sporting events. He always made it a point to be at everything.
Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, June; son, Michael Whitesell; his parents, Oliver & Clara White; two brothers: Weldon & Douglas White; one sister, Cheryl Spencer.
He is survived by his grandson Steve and wife Tasha; four great-grandchildren: Aunika,
Dylan, Izabelle, and Charley; two brothers: Darrell Matthews and Jerry Matthews and wife Mary Ann; one step brother, Ray Spencer and wife Glenda; two step sisters: Joanne Sumner and husband Charles and Vickie Hensley and husband Marvin; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral service for Wayne White will be held Thursday, September 25, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of God (Holiness) with Rev. Joe Trussell officiating. Faith Trussell will provide music. Burial will follow in the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00—7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are: Robert Wayne Gibbs, Don Witt, Kade Gerster, Sam Hamilton, Greg White, and Damon Edmiston. Honorary pallbearers are: Johnny Bob Koger, Raymond Fleishman, and Bill McWilliams.
