Steve F. Knapp, age 64, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away March 29, 2013, at his home in rural El Dorado Springs. He was born March 31, 1948, the son of Earl and Goldie (Ferris) Knapp.
Steve worked for many years as a carpenter. He was a good man, father, and friend to those who knew and loved him. He was always willing to help anyone, no matter what the need was.
Preceding him in death were: his mother Goldie Maness; his father Earl F. Knapp; and one grandson Derrek Gallahue.
Survivors include his children: Candy R. Burge and husband Tony of Anderson, MO, and their six children and fifteen grandchildren; Dixie Griffin and husband Lester of Neosho, MO, and their five children and nine grandchildren; Mechell Branham of Oklahoma, and her five children and five grandchildren; Tina Cooper of Neosho, MO, and her five children and two grandchildren; Stephenie Granham and husband Robert of Anderson, MO, and their two children; Kimberly Knapp; Stephenie of El Dorado Springs; and Robyn Lacrosse of Dallas, TX; seven brothers and three sisters: Lonnie Taylor of Kansas City, KS; Margie Shaw of Olathe, KS; Bradley Knapp of El Dorado Springs, MO; Sharon Goodman of Nevada, MO; Leland Maness of Kansas; Mike Maness of California; Danny Maness of Kansas; Ray Knapp of Mclouth, Ks; Kevin Knapp of Leavenworth, KS; and Elaine Knapp of Leavenworth, KS.
Services for Steve Knapp will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at Bland-Hackleman Chapel, with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Final disposition was cremation under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
