Obituary Anna Belle Eriksson (Murrell) passed away February 18, 2023, in Nevada, MO. She was born near Falcon, MO, to Milburn and Violet (Henderson) Murrell on January 25, 1928. She had five sisters and two brothers. She graduated from high school in Lebanon, MO.
Anna married Verner R. Eriksson August 3, 1948. To this union three children were born: Verna, John, and Jeff. After she had children, she stayed home and took care of her family. She was a devoted wife and mother. Mom lived and taught all of us by her example to “walk by faith.” She believed in not just going to church but knowing and living our lives according to God’s word. Her favorite book was the Bible.
Mom’s favorite pastimes were sewing, quilting, reading, and puzzle books. She was never one to be idle. Whenever she was down or upset, she believed that the best therapy was to be busy. Her greatest joy in life was her family- those near and far. She always looked forward to the trips her “boys” made to come and see her. She took great interest and pleasure in hearing about the animals they would see at her place and their hunting adventures. They wouldn’t have left yet, and she would want to know they would be back!
She never tired of hearing about her grandchildren. She was proud of them all and a constant source of strength and support. Even when one of their parents were discouraged, she always saw the other side and gave loving advice.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, “Little Freddy” and Frank Murrell; sisters, Alice Maxwell and June McClure. She is survived by her children: Verna Jaross, John Eriksson, and Jeff (Chris) Eriksson; grandchildren: Nicholas Jaross, Emily Goodrich, Melissa (Joshua) Moore, and Ryan Eriksson; sisters: Alma Bruce, Ione Simpson, and Julie Hibdon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
