Obituary Isabel Alma (Esler) Dyer, age 85 of Stockton, MO, passed away at her home on October 17, 2022. Isabel was the only child of Frank Esler and Alta (Syth) Esler. She was born on June 6, 1937, in Glasgow Montana. The family ran a coal mine for ten years in Sidney, Montana. She attended junior high in Kalispell, Montana where she accepted Christ as her personal Savior. Her high school years were spent in Noxon, Montana where she graduated in 1955.
After high school she attended Warmer Pacific College in Portland, Oregon, were she met Russell Dyer. They were married on August 2, 1960.
She ran a state funded foster care home in their two-story home in Kingman, Arizona for fourteen years. This helped to send their four children to college.
Scott Allen Dyer was born in Grants Pass, Oregon, where they were assistant pastors. He graduated from John Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in business. Clyde Gregory Dyer, their second son, was born in Hardin, Montana in 1961, where they were missionaries to the Crow Indians in Crow Agency Montana. He is a dentist who graduated from Baylor in 1987, with a doctor’s degree dental surgery. Their only daughter, Penny Jolene Dyer was born in Havre, Montana in 1963. She went to Riverside Baptist College, graduating with a fine arts degree. She later attended Northern Arizona University, receiving a master’s degree. Mark Allen Dyer was born in Kingman, Arizona in 1967. He attended Azusa Pacific, receiving a bachelor’s degree in guidance and counseling.
Isabel was a dedicated family-oriented person. She was always alert to their needs. She was a dedicated Christian with a heart of gold. She and Russell had 64 wonderful years of marriage. They were blessed!
