Penny Damron, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed Sunday May 1st, 2022. She will be remembered and dearly missed. She was sixty-eight years old.
Penny was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to Frank and Ruth Ostrand in1953. She was the youngest of nine children. She led a full life and was always a free spirit who would often say “go with the flow.” She met her second husband, Dwight “Red” Damron, at Travis’ Restaurant where she worked as a line cook in the late 1970s. She moved with her family to Missouri in 2005. She enjoyed pop culture, crocheting, thrifting, coffee, and milk chocolate. She had a heart of gold that she shared with everyone she could. She touched many lives and leaves behind her legacy of generosity and love. Words alone could not describe the love she shared with others.
She is survived by her four children, William, Thomas, Daniel, and Rebecca, her one granddaughter, Jessica, along with her sisters Mary, Georgia, and Terry. Her husband Dwight passed in February 2022. Her five brothers, Frank, William, Robert, Richard, and Timothy, had all passed before her. Her three granddogs, Chopper, Sophie, and Cal will also miss her.
Donations to the family for services can be made to the Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
