Rose Marie (Leonard) Smith, 85 of El Dorado Springs, Missouri passed away June 3, 2021 at Mercy Hospital. Rose was born February 12, 1936 to Johnnie and Edna (Schmidt) Leonard.
She was saved and a member of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church.
Rose was a hard working woman who wore many hats in life, from daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. She also held a variety of job titles. She started work life at her parentís store in Cedar Springs while she was a teenager and young adult. She then moved on to work at the Shoe Factory in El Dorado Springs as a shoe model. Then finally Rose would go to work at 3M and retire.
Some of Roseís favorite hobbies were cross stitching and gardening. She loves to make her cross stitch work into quilts for her family and friends. Rose loved her family, Jesus Christ, and living a simple life.
Rose met Charles Lee Smith at the store her parents owned while she was working there. They were later married on June 6, 1954. They had three beautiful children; Christina (Tina), Charles Neil (Neil), and Terry Smith.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Lee, sons, Neil Smith, Terry Smith, and sister Virgie Francis.
Survivors include; brother Jerl Leonard, daughter Tina Keith and husband Charles, daughter-in-law Ingrid Smith, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many relatives.
