Obituary
Arthur Eugene Jones was born September 30, 1945 to Arthur Faris Jones and Millie Salina (Bangle) Jones in Osceola, Missouri. He passed away at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri on May 30, 2021. He was united in marriage to Margie Louise Self on June 16, 1964. To this union three sons were born.
Arthur enjoyed being at the dirt track (whether it be in the pits helping to tune in a race car or watching from the stands), finding bargains at the flea markets and garage sales, singing and playing music, and fishing. But, most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by sons Allen Eugene Jones and Jimmy Alvin Jones Sr.; his parents; siblings Charles Jones, Johnny Jones Sr., and Lonnie Jones Sr.; and great-grandson Finley Jones.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Margie Jones; his son Timmy Jones (Angie), daughter-in-law Christy Jones Davis (Jeremy); siblings Hazel Henry, Dorothy Burk (Roy), Wanda Weddington (Lyle), Albert Jones (Millie), and Donnie Jones; grandchildren Mellisa Jones (Danny), Audreanna Buckley, Jimmy Jones Jr. (Katie), Christopher Jones (Allissa), Makayla Osborn (Jett), Morgan Jones, and Madison Jones; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that lovingly called him “Uncle Art”, “Papa”, and“Arthur Gene”.
Arthur requested not to have a funeral service. The family will hold a Celebration of Life gathering at a later date.
