Heaven called another angel home Sunday evening, May 30, 2021. Linda Charlene Williams of El Dorado Springs, age 73, passed away in her home peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
Linda was born in Kansas City on November 30, 1947 to Charles and Juanita Williams. They moved to Illinois at an early age living in a few places before staying sometime in Ransom IL. Linda found work at the workshop in town, this being the only job she would have. Linda was baptized at an early age at the Methodist Church in Ransom, IL. Her mother remarried and they moved back to Missouri, settling in El Dorado Springs. Linda had a love for animals especially dogs, Lady Bird and Gracie. She loved walking everywhere. She also enjoyed fishing, dancing, flowers, puzzles and playing cards. She would spend most of her days with her sister going shopping, helping to take care of her neighbors, and spending time with family. Linda had a very large collection of purses and loved to swap hers with anyone who she could talk into doing so. If there was one thing everyone knew about Linda was that of her biggest love, Elvis Presley. She was able to take a trip with her siblings to tour Graceland. This was her dream come true. Linda never knew a stranger striking up conversation with anyone. She loved her family and would share stories with everyone in town. Linda was also a long standing member at the Union Hall Baptist Church. She was loved by so many, and will be missed dearly.
Linda is survived by her brother Jim Williams of El Dorado Springs, sister Sharon (John) Chambers of El Dorado Springs, brother Dave (Billie) Williams of Butler, MO. Linda had many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Charles Edward Williams, Mother Juanita Maxine Miller Williams Townsend, stepfather Russell Townsend, and sister-in-law Connie Williams.
