Ann was born to Lucien and RosaBelle (Harvey) Carter, April 10, 1940. She grew up in El Dorado Springs, Missouri, was baptized at a young age at the First Baptist Church. She graduated with the class of 1958. After high school she married the love of her life, Albert Stebbins on September 26, 1958. Ann worked at Carter’s Market from a young age and later on as a switchboard operator.
Al and Ann moved to Liberty, Missouri in 1961. Ann worked in customer service bookkeeping at the Gas Service Company. In 1979 the family moved to San Mateo, California where Ann quickly found work in Tariff Publications at Consolidated Freightways Air Freight, rising through the organization to manage a team of over 70 employees as the executive assistant to the Vice President.
In 1995 Al and Ann returned home to El Dorado Springs where they built their retirement home at the “Farm”. After retirement they and their partners started Home Team Realty where Ann managed the office, schedules, website, and legal paperwork. Al and Ann attended church at Park Street Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Al Stebbins, one daughter, Lisa Temple (Paul) of Lexington, MO., four grandsons, Mark of Lexington MO., Michael of Deming NM, Marshall of Dallas TX., and Matthew (Yuri) of Indianapolis IN. ,two great-granddaughters, Yuriann and Reinna, one brother, Tim Carter (Peggy), niece Kelly Bryson and daughters, of El Dorado Springs, niece Amy Pittsenbarger and family of Lamar, niece Tessie Watkins and family, of El Dorado Springs. There are four living sisters-in-law and a multitude of nieces and nephews including many “greats”.
She enjoyed reading, collecting recipes, spending time with her family, and was known for her wonderful hospitality. Ann was always a sweet and loving person and cared deeply for her family and friends. She loved Jesus and shone His light and love brightly to all. Ann will be deeply missed.
