Obituary
Charley McCoy was born Aug 18, 1961, and passed away on March 2, 2021. Charles McCoy was born in Fort Scott Hospital to the late William McCoy and mother Mattie. He lived there and lived in Mound City until 1971 then moved to Fort Scott, Coffeyville, KS and finished high school in Waco, TX. After High school worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and in 1986 Charley got married to Cindy Cryer from Belton, TX. In 1990 Charley and family moved back to Kansas City area and started at a dealership doing service work and with his knowledge of diesel and gas motors became their heavy line mechanic. At the end of his career he worked at Lee’s Summit Dodge and was going on his 13th year as their heavy truck mechanic. Charley was a master tech and customers would bring trucks in from all over the country for him to fix.

Charley loved his family and friends and the outdoors. Charley was always going out of his way to help anyone that needed it and loved to work on anything. He also loved spending time with family fishing shooting guns, camping, and working around his farm.

He is survived by two sons Christopher Ramsey and Nicholas Ramsey, four grandchildren: Aiden Ramsey, Amelia Ramsey, Eden McCoy, Lilly McCoy also a sister Kerry McCoy and a brother Steve McCoy.
