Obituary
Alvin Leroy Murrell was born September 16, 1930 to Warren Mitchell Murrell and Verla Gregory Murrell.
He worked on a farm until he went into the army in 1952 and served in Germany until 1954. After that he was transferred to the Army Reserve. He married Shirley Hess in 1954. Two sons were born to this union, Steve and Wayne. Alvin worked at the St. Joseph State Hospital then moved to the El Dorado Springs area where he had a plumbing business with Alden Hess. In the 1980’s and 90’s he worked as a Developmental Assistant I at the Nevada Habilitation Center and retired from there in 1993.
He married Frances Burton in 1989 to which his daughter Verla was born. He also raised two stepsons, John and Michael Burton.
He is survived by his wife Frances Murrell, his sons, Steve and Wayne, his daughter, Verla, and his stepsons, John and Michael Burton, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
