I'm so terribly sorry about the loss of this special man. So heartbreaking to hear the news of him passing. He will be dearly missed. He was my favorite chemistry teacher from my senior year, 11 years ago. My thoughts, love and prayers go out to Peggy and Mr.T's family and friends.

I’ve lost my friend and brother, and will sorely miss him. Ernie was a very special person, who did a lot of good with his life, and will surely be rewarded for it. My condolences to Peggy, Dane, Alex, and the entire family.

Ernie was & will always be considered a member of our family. My oldest brother Mike & Ernie were best of friends & thick as thieves. It was our great sadness to lose our brother & dear friend. However, we know that our loss is heavens gain & Ernie’s best move yet. I sure would have loved to witness the welcoming he received as he entered into the presence of our King! Our hearts go out to Peggy, Dane, Alex, Linda & Jackie & to all of those who loved this amazing man.

Our hearts are heavy and our lost is great, but we thank you Lord for the years we had to spend with ET, my good friend. My wife and I always made it a point to close our cross-country road trips with icing on the cake by making our last stop before returning home, several days visit with our good longtime friends, Ernie and Peggy.
When death comes up on a believer, death must stubble and fall. Not because of something that we have done but because of what Jesus has done. That's why the Bible says death where is your victory; so, we celebrate.
We can celebrate Ernie’s homegoing because we know that “The Good News is, The Bad News is Wrong” for those who make Jesus their choice (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). ET was a good son, a good brother, a good man, a good husband, a good father, and a good friend.
Out of all a pastor does, --- the most important thing is for you to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and Ernie loved himself some Jesus.
No matter what you accomplish in this world, the most important thing that truly matters before you breathe your last breath, is that you accepted Jesus the Christ as your Lord and Savior.
2 Timothy 4:6-8 speaks of The Competitors Reward. Ernie’s Body was tired but not his Spirit. You don't have to be prefect to be a Christian, but you do have to be saved.
Smokey Robinson song sums up my feelings.
“Really gonna miss you, it’s really gonna be different without you; time is gonna be hard and slow. For the rest of my life, I'm gonna be thinking about you; time came when you had to go.
I'll miss you my buddy, I'll miss you my friend, I promise my love for you will never end. Really gonna miss you.”
"Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I'll miss you until we meet again." Peggy, Dane, Alex and family, with our love and deepest sympathy, we are so sorry for your loss.
