John Virgil Cochran, age 79, of Collins, MO, formerly of Belton, MO, passed away May 16, 2019, at his home. John was born in Lee’s Summit, MO, on December 31, 1939, to Lennie and Velma Cochran.
John married Mary June Woodard of Anderson, MO, on February 6, 1960. They were married 59 years.
John worked for Lake Lotawana Association in Lee’s Summit, MO, for 42 years, maintaining roads and anything else they needed done. He was “MR. FIX IT!” He was a hard worker and always made sure his family was taken care of. He enjoyed gardening, tinkering with cars, and watching wrestling.
Preceding him in death were: his parents, Lennie and Velma Cochran; three brothers, Ralph, Lennie, and Charles; two sisters, Nellie and Janey; one sister-in-law; and one niece.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary; three children: daughter, Pamela Robinson and husband Allen, son, Lennie Cochran, and daughter, Cynthia and husband Michael; grandchildren: Anastacia and Evan Edwards, Nick Kenny and Allen Chieze; great-grandchildren, Moliki, Jacob, Shane, Vincent, and Victor; six sisters and one brother.
