Linda Marie Oehring Benskin, age 70, of El Dorado Springs, MO, passed away on Monday evening, December 25, 2017, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 7, 1947, in Putnam, Connecticut, to Joseph Kuhl and Beryl (Churchill) Kuhl.
After high school, Linda attended Harding College in Arkansas and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Education. She then moved to Schell City, MO, to begin teaching. Linda taught for 30 plus years in Schell City and El Dorado Springs, MO, as well as a few years in Maryland. Linda had received her Master’s in Education from Pitt State University. Linda loved all of the children she taught through the years in music, kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 4th grade.
Linda married Jack Lee Oehring (deceased) in the summer of 1972 and had two children: a son, Aaron Ray Oehring and a daughter, Rebekah Sue Oehring. In the mid 1980’2, Linda got to take a trip of a lifetime with the Harding University Choir throughout Europe.
Linda later married Delbert “Bud” Benskin in August, 2010, in Lee’s Summit, MO.
Linda was a beloved teacher, mother, wife and friend. All who knew her loved her dearly, as she did them. Her beautiful voice was only exceeded by her love of God and kindness to others.
Linda is survived by her husband, Bud Benskin of the home; two children: Aaron Oehring of Iowa and Rebekah Oehring of Harwood, MO; and one granddaughter, Precious Charlotte Watkins of Harwood, MO.
