Jacky Lee Oehring, age 78, of Harwood, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at his home with his daughter at his side.
Jack was delivered at home in Blythedale, MO, on December 9, 1937. He was the seventh of nine children of Harvey and Eva (Cross) Oehring. On July 28, 1972, he married Linda Marie Kuhl and had a son, Aaron Ray in 1974 and a daughter, Rebekah Sue in 1976. Jack and Linda later divorced.
In 1957, Jack joined the Missouri Army Reserve. He later transferred to the National Guard and served 9 years.
Jack enjoyed sharing his peacocks, turkeys, koi fish, arrow heads, rock work and beautiful wood work with everyone. He was known for his kindness, generosity and huge Christmas light display.
Survivors include one daughter, Rebekah Oehring of Joplin, MO and one son, Aaron Oehring of Iowa; one brother, Bobby Oehring; three sisters: Betty Wood, Rena Wilson and Clara Howard; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to both his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Frank and Jimmy Oehring; and two sisters: Patsy Hartung and Bonnie Mincey.
Funeral services for Jack Oehring will be held Sunday, January 17, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs, MO, with burial to follow in the Lefler Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Dan Martin, Elbert Biddlecome, Wade Osborn, Jim Hutchison, Wayne Yakel and Stoney Ellis. Jim Bacon was a honorary pallbearer.
