Obituary
Louis Lefler Osborne, age 99, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away on April 28, 2011, at Christian Healthcare in Nevada, Missouri. Louis was born June 5, 1911, in Jasper County, Indiana, the son of Estel F. Osborne and Vera Lefler Osborne.

On February 14, 1934, Louie married Frances M. Hurt. He always said this date sure helped him remember his wedding anniversary. Louie and Frances moved to Indiana in 1935 and returned to El Dorado Springs in 1947. Frances passed away June 19, 2001, after 67 years of marriage.

Louie loved El Dorado Springs and all of his family and friends. He especially loved the park in El Dorado Springs where he was caretaker for many years. Louie also supported the Pops Museum in El Dorado Springs both monetarily and with photos. His special humor was well known to all who knew him.

Louie and Frances were long time members of the Presbyterian Church in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. Louie loved the Lord and would tell this to all he knew. He told relatives many times that all he wanted was to go to sleep and wake up in heaven with Frances and other loved ones.

Preceding Louie in death were: his parents; his loving step mother, Janet Miller Osborne; his wife, Frances; his sister, Mary Geraldine; and his brother, Raymond Dean Osborne.

Surviving are: his niece, Deanna Osborne Pugsley and husband Chris of England; a nephew, Edward Ernest Osborne of Sidney, Australia; great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends, including Leora Van Bummel and family who loved Louie and made him a part of their family.

Graveside services were held Monday, May 2, 2011, at 2:00 pm at El Dorado Springs City Cemetery with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
