Steven William Geer, age 41, of Stockton, Missouri, passed away at his home on Tuesday evening, December 8, 2015. Steven was born March 6, 1974, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Lee’s Summit. He was the son of Denny and Sheila Cundiff. He attended Fort Osage School in East Independence and El Dorado Springs High School.
Steven had two children, Jordan Geer of El Dorado Springs and Donavan Geer of Walker. He loved spending time with his children any chance he got.
Steven was very much an outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing, especially coon hunting and deer hunting with his father, Denny. He also enjoyed bow hunting. He was able to go on a fishing trip to Canada in 2003 and had a lot of fun. He had picked up a love for shuffleboard in the last few years, which he was able to play with family and friends. He received a second place plaque at the 12th Annual Missouri State Shuffleboard Championship in 2013.
During the football season, it was guaranteed that Steven would not miss a game. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs. He got so mad during their games that people thought he had money riding on the outcome. He would always say, “What the hell was that?” when the Chiefs messed up, but if they pulled it together and won, he would have a huge smile on his face.
Steven was a very stubborn man, but he was stronger than many people. He kept pushing through for many years. He will be greatly missed by many people.
Preceding Steven in death were his grandparents, great-grandparents, two uncles, and one cousin.
Survivors include his parents, Denny and Sheila Cundiff, of Stockton, MO; two brothers: Richie Cundiff and wife, Cassie, of Stockton, and Trey Geer, of Stockton; and sister, Tina Sandy, of Harrisonville, MO; two children: Jordan Geer, of El Dorado Springs, MO, and Donavan Geer, of Walker, MO; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
