Obituary
Frank Greene DeShazo, age 86, passed away on April 17, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born February 4, 1929, the ninth child of Frank and Bessie DeShazo. He was born on the home farm near Birdsong in south St. Clair County, Missouri. He was saved at the altar of Brush Creek Church in October of 1942. He was a member of that church until the early 1950s when he became a charter member of Good Hope Church in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was ordained a deacon in 1957. At the time of his death he was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church. On December 7, 1946, he was united in marriage to Melba Lois Reeves by Arthur Wynes at the courthouse in Stockton, Missouri. They were married sixty-eight years.

Frank was working at Interx, a branch of Merck, in Lawrence, Kansas, when he retired in 1991. After retiring, he moved back to Missouri.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-eight years, Melba; son, Dwayne DeShazo and wife, Karen, of Lincoln, MO; daughter, Terry Willis and husband, David, of Tonganoxie, KS; grandson and adopted son, Jeremy DeShazo of Tonganoxie, KS; grandson, Devon DeShazo; granddaughter, Shana Meadows and husband, Chris, and great-granddaughter, Emma, all of Sarasota, FL; one great-grandson Westley Michael DeShazo of Perry, KS; two brothers, Don DeShazo and wife, Iris, of Collins, MO; and John Mark DeShazo of Springfield, MO.

Services for Frank DeShazo will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in El Dorado Springs City Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
