Obituary
Ruth Pauline ( Jones) Bryant, age 90, departed this life and went to be with the Lord on April 5, 2015, at Community Springs Healthcare Facility in El Dorado Springs, MO.

She was born to Jesse and Ruth (Felty) Jones on August 8, 1924, in Cedar County, MO, where she attended school and graduated in 1942. Pauline attended one year of teacher training in Springfield, MO and taught in a rural school for one year.

Pauline was saved at Brother Luther Tuckerís home when just a young girl and testified of knowing she had a better home waiting. She was a member of Hazel Dell Missionary Baptist Church at the time of her death and faithfully attended services there as long as her health permitted.

She married Russell Bryant, Jr. July 27, 1945. Pauline and Junior had corresponded by letter after their marriage until October, 1945, when he was discharged from the Navy and they began their journey together.

Pauline and Junior lived in Cedar County until 1960 when they moved to Albuquerque, NM, for his health. Pauline became Juniorís caregiver while he battled his illness, learning many medical terms, was proficient with administering his medications and nursed him in a loving and caring way. They had 49 years together before Junior passed away in 1994. Pauline moved back to El Dorado Springs in 1995, where she was near her family and the church.

Those preceding her in death were: her husband, Junior; parents, Jess and Ruth Jones; brother, Cecil E. Jones; sister-in-law, Carol Jones; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Miller.

Pauline is survived by her three sons: Thomas E. Bryant, Stockton, MO; Gregory W. Bryant and wife, Cathy, Clovis, NM; and Steven D. Bryant and wife, Lisa, Milo, MO. Also surviving are grandchildren: Clifford Bryant, El Dorado Springs, MO; Russell A. and Carin Bryant, Barrow, AK; Shawn and Brenna Bryant, Williston, ND; Thomas Matthew Bryant, San Antonio, TX; Miranda and Ronald Greene, Las Vegas, NV; and Starla Martin, Las Cruces, NM.

Others include great-grandchildren: Tanner and Kylie Bryant, Jeremiah, Cyrus, Isaiah and Graceen Bryant, Christopher, Genevieve, and Hannah Martin; her sister, Geneva Miller, Grove, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Jerald and Janet Jones, El Dorado Springs, MO; sisters-in-law, Maxine Peach, and Betty Jo Bryant, Stockton, MO; many step grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 10, 2015, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Funeral services for Pauline Bryant will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Hazel Dell Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Ralph Benham and Bro. Jason Cornell officiating. Burial will follow in Younger Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
