Margaret Ann Perry, age 73, of El Dorado Springs, MO, passed from this life March 14, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born January 28, 1942, in Iowa City, IA to Oliver G. and Tilla Mae (Cox) Hess. After early childhood in Iowa, the family moved to Wichita, KS, where she graduated from Wichita North High School. There she met Richard E. Perry, whom she married and loved for 53 years until his death in 2011. She worked at many jobs through the years, but only secondary to raising her two children.
They first moved to the El Dorado Springs area in 1961, operating a dairy and cattle farm, and then moved to the Osceola area. After raising their children, they moved to the Branson, MO, area where they managed a large campground for the next fifteen years. They returned to retire in El Dorado Springs in 1998, where they spent the rest of their lives.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick; and one brother-in-law, Reed Perry.
Survivors include her two children: Dane Perry (Jackie) and Donna Slichenmyer (Kyle); two brothers: George Hess (Jackie) and John Hess (Kay); one sister, Sylvia Nelson (Eldon); one brother-in-law, Ken Perry (Joanne); one sister-in-law, Linda Williams; six grandchildren: Coale, Clay, and Cristin Perry and Eric, Lloyd, and Camille Slichenmyer.
Ann devoted her life to those in need, always concerned and helping those around her before herself. Nothing meant more to her than her family, her church, and her many friends. Her family and community will miss her very much.
