Nina Mae (Moore) Brown, age 86, of Tiffin, MO, passed away at Cedar County Memorial Hospital Monday evening, December 22, 2014, surrounded by loved ones. Nina was born October 8, 1928, in Winatchee, Washington, to Everett Lloyd and Ruby Bell (Dennis) Moore. On January 13, 1950, she was united in marriage to Francis Theodore Brown in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. To this union were born two daughters: Jo Ellen Campbell and Frances Marlene Burris.
Nina began working at the International Shoe Factory, where she met her future husband Francis. During the next years of her life she worked as a seamstress at various places. At the age of 40 she obtained her GED, and continued her education by obtaining her LPN license. She then worked for the next 20 years in the nursing field.
Her hobbies included crocheting, cooking and canning, working in the garden, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren; with her favorite hobby of all being fishing. She took great joy alongside her husband serving the Lord.
Nina was preceeded in death by her husband, Francis Brown; a daughter, Marlene (Brown) Burris; sister, Laverne West; brother, Buford Moore and brother, Bernard Moore; along with her parents.
Survivors include her daughter Jo Ellen (Brown) Campbell and her husband Richard of Warrensburg, MO; three granddaughters: Janet Campbell of Independence, MO; Susan (Campbell) Randall and husband Chris of Edgerton, WI; Diane (Campbell) Moore and husband Rob of Fredericksburg, VA; and five great-grandchildren: Caleb Jarvis of Marshall, MO; Brendan Moore, Colin Moore, Dylan Moore and Elizabeth Moore of Fredericksburg, VA. Also surviving are a half-brother Darrell Moore; half-sister Violet Fitzpatrick; several sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Nina Brown will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, with Rev. Wendell Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Brasher Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Robert Ubben, Caleb Jarvis, Dave Taylor, Rick Moore, Jon Moore, and Randy Moore. Honorary pallbearers are John Brown, Kenny Moore, Derrick Taylor, and Steven Taylor.
