Ronald Kenneth Leonard, age 64, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. He was born on October 21, 1950, the son of Avery and Thelma Leonard.
Ronnie worked in construction work and at Keller Fur House. He loved to hunt and fish and spend time outdoors. He enjoyed the Eagles Club, where he served in various areas. He loved to cook and shared many meals with others.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Avery and Thelma, and two brothers: Harold Lee Leonard and Bobby Durl Leonard.
Survivors include his two sons: Dustin Avery Leonard and wife Allyson of Webb City, and Tyler Leonard and fiancée Ashley Norman of El Dorado Springs; three grandchildren: Jarren, Courtny, and Blayke; one brother, Cletis Leonard and wife, Nancy of Stockton; five sisters: Bonnell Huff, Dorothy Moore, Imogene Marquis and husband Russell, Patsy Baker and husband Van, all of El Dorado Springs, and Sharron Poe and husband Mark of Overland Park, KS; and one sister-in-law, Betty Leonard of El Dorado Springs.
We will miss our dad, grandpa, and baby brother, but expect to meet him in Heaven. His suffering is over and he is at peace.
Funeral services for Ronnie Leonard were held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Rev. Dana Taylor and Rev. James Coleman officiated. Burial followed in Brush Creek Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Greg Leonard, Kent Bland, Kevin Bland, Daniel Bland, Randy Moore and Jamie Toliver. Honorary pallbearers were: Jim Toliver, Trenton Leonard, Kenny Hamilton, and Joe Shearrer.
