Christine Cartwright, age 57, of El Dorado Springs, MO, passed away in her home on March 31, 2014. Christine was born August 10, 1956, in El Dorado Springs, MO, the daughter of Joe and Grace Cartwright. She was the fifth child of eight children. She attended school in El Dorado Springs.
Christine married Ricky Grubb on August 17, 1974. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1993. Ricky was good with music and a very good drum player. To this union three boys were born.
Christine was a happy child, always laughing, and always ready with a helping hand for everyone. She liked to visit with people. She was known as “Tina” as a child and later in adult life known as “Chrissy.” She loved to read; this was a heritage passed on from a mother who loved to read and a grandmother who was a teacher. On a visit to her much loved grandson about four weeks before her death, she gave him books.
Preceding her in death were her father on February 28, 2006, her sister Josie on December 8, 2012, and her niece Janet Brasher on June 21, 1988.
She is survived by her mother, Grace Cartwright; three sons: Mike Grubb of Salt Lake City, UT, and his children Tyler and Sidney; Scotty Grubb of Lockwood, MO, and his children Skyler and Kadden; and Kenny Grubb of Springfield, MO, and his child Carter and his fiancée Meri Beth; three brothers: David of Evergreen, CO, Gary of Milo, MO, and Gilbert of Cherryvalle, KS; and three sisters: Eunice of El Dorado Springs, MO, Jessica of Neosho, MO, and Mary Beth of St. Elizabeth, MO.
