Leota Mae (Ellerman) Keeton, age 76, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013, after a long battle with liver cancer. She was born July 4, 1937, to Manford and Florence Ellerman.
Leota married Bill R. Keeton on January 28, 1952, in Osceola, MO. To this union seven children were born: Janet, Johnnie, Bill Jr., Sandra, Randall, Jeffrey, and Travis.
Over the years she worked at DDA and Montgomery Wards. However, her first priority was being mom, which she did very extremely well.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Bill; daughter Janet; son Jeffrey; great-grandson Tyler; and one son-in-law.
Survivors include five children: Johnnie Ray, Bill Jr. (Mary), Sandra Dee, Randall Wayne and Travis (Carrie); thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; six step grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; two sisters: Violet Tanner and Rose Yockey; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
As per Leota’s wishes, her body was donated to the Willed Body Program.
