Darrell Ray Hoffman, age 64, of Stockton, MO, passed away April 11, 2013, at the Kansas City VA Medical Center.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his wife, Kathy of the home; two children: Angela Hoffman of Springfield, and Jennifer O'Brien of Excelsior Springs; four grandchildren: Corey, Claire, Jack and Alex; four brothers: Donald Hoffman and wife, Brenda, of Pago Pago, American Samoa, Kenneth Dean Hoffman and wife Pam of Sheldon, MO, Michael Hoffman and wife Kathy of El Dorado Springs, MO, and David Hoffman and his wife Jennifer of Goodland, MO; step-sister Vicky White of Joplin, MO; step-brother William MacFarland and wife Kate; many aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annabell Moore Hoffman, his father, Glenn Hoffman and step-mother Lou Ann
Darrell was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served for three years in the Army. He grew up in Wamego, Kansas, and later moved to El
Dorado Springs. He was a proud member of the VFW Post 8820 in Montrose, Missouri.
Services for Darrell Hoffman were held Monday, April 15, 2013, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, with Bro. Everett Smith officiating. Paula Newman provided music. Darrell was laid to rest at the Hamby Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Corey Hoffman, Jack O’Brien, Kenny Dean Hoffman, Mike Hoffman, David Hoffman, Joe Haines, Paul Haines, and Nathan Magers.
Military honors were provided by Montrose VFW 8820.
