In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family to help with expenses and left at the funeral home.
Denver Edward Harris, age 74, of El Dorado Springs, MO, passed away at his home on December 25, 2012. He was born in Van Buren, Missouri, to Ray and Anna Harris on June 6, 1938.
Denver was well known is this area as owner and manager of Josie’s Café. Denver and his wife JoAnn moved to this area from Colorado in April of 2000 and operated Josie’s Café for seven years.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter Faith Harris; one sister and two brothers.
Denver is survived by his wife of 26 years, JoAnn of the home; five sons: Buck Harris of El Dorado Springs, MO; Michael Harris of Shawnee, KS; Denver Harris, Jr. and wife Audrey of Parkville, MO; Bobby Harris and Ronnie Harris; one step-daughter Sherry Long of El Dorado Springs, MO; one brother Kenny Harris; four grandchildren: Denver Harris III; Dallas Harris; Steven Lamb and Eddie Lamb; six great-grandchildren; a nephew Marion Harris; and many other friends and relatives.
Memorial services for Denver Edward Harris were held on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the First Christian Church with Pastor Jack Daniels officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
