Obituary
Goldie (Garver) Grimsley was born November 18, 1920 in Roscoe, Missouri to Jessie Garver and Ida Potter. In 1936 she married Orville Lee Grimsley of El Dorado Springs, Missouri. They had three children: Pat, Donna, and Gary.

She was a wonderful mother, homemaker, and an active partner to Orville in their home construction and masonry businesses in El Dorado Springs. While Orville served in WW II, she oversaw the Billiards Hall they owned on Main Street. Her kindness and sweetness was evidenced throughout her life by the care and love she gave unconditionally to her family and friends. After Orville passed away, Goldie moved to be near her daughter Donna in Lee's Summit, MO. She later moved to Florida to be near her son Gary and family.

She passed away quietly with family by her side and in the early morning of December 16, 2012, she went to be with the Lord and her husband.

Goldie was preceded in death by her husband Orville; her parents; a sister Jewell; a brother Jack; and a grandchild Christie Ann.

She is survived by her daughter Pat Baker and husband Tellmo of San Angelo, TX; daughter Donna Childress, and husband Gary of Orlando, FL; son Gary Grimsley and wife Tracy of Fernandina Beach, FL; granddaughter Shelly (Childress) Eager of Columbia, TN; grandson Troy Baker of San Angelo, TX; granddaughter Amber (Baker) Rogers of San Angelo, TX; grandson Mark Baker of San Angelo, TX; granddaughter Gina (Grimsley) Brewer of Rose Hill, KS; granddaughter Debbie (Grimsley) Lelekis of Melbourne, FL; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs, MO with visitation at 10:00 AM followed by services at 11:00 AM. Rev. Brent Bland will officiate. Burial will be in the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
